204 Agility Manuevers
Prepared by Kim McNeill
Video demonstrations of some human manuevers at the lead out and between obstacles:
Lead Out — The dog performs a stay at the start line and the handler moves into position away from the dog.
Front Cross — The handler moves in front of the dog’s path so that the dog is now on the other side of the handler. The handler turns 360 degrees so that the handler can always keep an eye on the dog.
Rear Cross — Front cross between jump and teeter.
Rear Cross — "The handler moves behind the dog so that the dog is now on the other side of the handler.
Blind Cross — The handler performs a front cross but turns her back on the dog. A blind cross is much like a front cross except the handler turns her back on her dog. This is a great move when it works (and kinder to the knees than the 360 degree turn the handler does in the front cross), but I find it is a point of disconnect with my dogs when I turn my back on them.
