She is a very dark brindle bitch with clear definition of markings, and she has a short soft coat. Slightly longer in body than in leg. She is well angulated with good reach and drive. She is clean coming and going, although with a wide chest and well sprung ribs. Her head is African in nature. She has extremely dark well set eyes. Elliemay’s ears are large, wider set than a domestic’s and they are very expressive. Her head is wider in the back skull, with a nice tapered muzzle, correct stop. She could use more under jaw, her bite is a correct scissors bite with full dentation. Her neck goes into her shoulders well, but could be longer and have more arch. Shoulders well laid back with adequate upper arm. Elliemay’s topline has a slight rise over the loin. Her tail set is exceptable, and her tail is carried high over the back with a single curl. Her tail is a great diviner of her mood.  Elliemay’s temperament is the typical African reservation, with a natural affinity for people. She is excepting of people and new situations but she has a need to examine her surroundings before she becomes more confident.
