OUR THANKS to former member, Monica Frelow, for sharing the. . .photograph (right) with us. Monica explains, "This photo- graph was taken by Dr. Lawrence Frank around 3 October 1980. The locality is a partially dried up tributary of the Omo River, 175 km north of Lake Turkana, Ethiopia. The dog is living with the Nomadic Bodi tribe - mainly pastoral, growing sorghum on river banks. The area is reached by floating 350 miles down river from near the city of Abati. It's about a two week trip. The dog was the only one seen with this group. Lawrence felt they may be killed for meat . . ."
