These are the procedures and forms you
will need to begin the process of obtaining
BCOA approval for your dog imported from
Africa to apply as Basenji Foundation Stock
with the American Kennel Club.

The American Kennel Club is allowing the Studbook for Basenjis to remain open from January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2020. All Native Stock applying as Basenji Foundation Stock must go through the AKC approved procedures outlined in the document "Procedures for Submitting Native Stock."

Application deadline is Dec. 1, 2014.
Evaluation deadline is Dec. 31, 2014.

These deadlines keep the Project on track for publication in the first quarter BCOA Bulletin.

Form for Native Stock Evaluator
There is a form for each of the 3 Evaluators to fill in and sign.
You must bring a copy of the form for the Evaluator to fill out at the appointment you set up.
The filled in and signed evaluation forms must be returned by December 31, 2011.

This is not a static lists so you are welcome to volunteer to be an Evaluator
if you are qualified (see Procedures for qualifications.)
