Today Sandy is a balanced, elegant dog who is high on the leg, with good depth of chest and a strong topline. He is a little longer in back than the norm. He has a pleasing masculine head with well shaped and set cupped ears, good wrinkle and is well cushioned. He has almond shaped eyes with nice dark mascara. His eye color could be darker. His well crested neck flows smoothly into his shoulders which are decently angulated. He has good length of upper arm with good depth of brisket but he could be wider in forechest. He has a strong, well muscled and angulated rear. His side movement is a driving, ground covering gait achieved with minimal effort. He is relatively clean coming at you, but because of a somewhat narrow chest moves a little close. Going away Sandy is clean with forceful drive. He has nice, compact hare feet with well arched toes. Sandy's tail lays well over his back and makes a full curl and a half. The tail set could be a touch higher. He has an exquisite fine coat of short length and texture with supple, pliant fine skin. Because of his coat and skin quality, he scuffs easily. Sandy is 18" tall and approximately 25-38 pounds.   Sandy is tentative with strangers and much prefers women to men. He does not signal his displeasure but he has no hesitation in demonstrating his adoration. He is not an alpha or an alpha wannabe, he is content with his place in his packs hierarchy. Sandy relates well to most other dogs and integrates well into new pack situations. Sandy is somewhat hormonally challenged during breeding season.   Some of Sandy's quirks are: he is a good traveler, he vocalizes his every mood, he adores puppies and allows them to eat out of his bowl and to chew on him. He hates cops or men in uniforms and he allows humans to eat food without trying to take it away from them.
